Princes Trust – Youth Business Scotland (PTYBS)

If you’re aged 18-30 and need helping starting up your own business, then this national charity has different ways it can help you.

PTYBS runs mentoring programmes, to go through the steps required to launch your new business, they also offer grants and loans, in addition to running ‘Elevator events’, designed to bring young business owners together.

Help For Students With A Business Idea In Fife

Bridge to Business

Bridge to Business is a programme run by the charity, Young Enterprise Scotland, which operates in many Colleges across Scotland, including Fife College.

This programme runs inspirational events, has an online portal to connect aspiring business owners to local role models and offers the opportunity for students to pitch for a small grant to test their new business idea.

Scottish Institute for Enterprise (SIE)

This organisation supports students to be more entrepreneurial across Scotland’s Universities, although it does now have a presence in certain Colleges, including Fife College.

SIE offer 1-2-1 support for students with business ideas, facilitates workshops, runs competitions (including the Young Innovators Challenge, with a top prize of £50,000!), and hosts the annual SIE Summit.
