After a whirlwind few weeks, we are finally on target to open the Benarty People’s Pantry this Friday 17th April. This new service is for the most vulnerable families and individuals within Benarty and has been set up to support people get access to affordable Food. Our plan however is to provide a completely free service during the current crisis with emergency food parcels available to all that need them.
After confirming a delivery slot with our suppliers our collection service for the Benarty People’s Pantry at BRAG’s Crosshill site aims to be up and running on Friday, with door to door deliveries then starting the following week.

Anyone in need of this support should call us on 01592 860296 between 10am and 3pm Mon to Fri where we ask them to complete a short questionnaire over the phone to become members. We will then allocate them a day and time for collection. Please note, that we have restricted this service to assist residents of the Benarty area; Glencraig, Crosshill Lochore and Ballingry as we are aware that there are other organisations running this. If you would like someone to act on your behalf, they can but make sure they have your permission first.

We would like to extend thanks to so many, firstly to our wonderful volunteers who have stepped in to assist and to our funders for this essential community project who are: Benarty Forum, Fife Council, Awards for All and the Scottish Government’s Response, Recovery and Resilience Fund without whom it would not be possible. We would also like to pay tribute to the local businesses that have helped us including Baynes the Bakers, Benarty Carpets and Flooring and Scotstar Resin Flooring who have all stepped up to assist.
