Iain was appointed to the Board in 2008. Iain is a retired HR Director having previously worked for Marconi. He is an active member of the Kirkcaldy Rotary Club and has various business contacts through the club. He was the Chair from 2016-2021 having succeeded William Clarke

Iain has been a director of two training organisations (Oriel Training Services and Fife Group Training), both now dissolved, though he remains a director of Community Mums.
