My name is MaryAnn Clarke and I run MaryAnn’s Kitchen. A Bakery business I set up 2 year ago after graduating with a HNC in Patisserie and with a Russel Trust Scholarship under my belt.
I started small selling treats within the community gaining myself a following before setting up my Facebook page. I worked from home for a few months before realising my kitchen and life was getting taken over with baking stuff. I needed somewhere that I could base myself from, that was local and affordable. I called Brag and within a matter of weeks I had my unit down there. Brian was absolutely amazing with me and helped me turn it into a working kitchen. I’ve now been at Brag for 15 months and love having my unit there. These days I’m mainly based there at weekends as I also run a cafe at Benarty Centre, providing fresh breakfasts and lunches and I’m also now an Employer. A lot has happened since I got my unit at Brag and the team there have been vital in allowing me to expand and grow my business. I’ve worked so hard for the past 2 year to build my business without a penny spent on advertisement all through word of mouth and offer a wide range of baked goods and confections including:
Afternoon Teas, Buffets Celebration Cakes, treat boxes and lots more. I offer a bespoke catering service with everything homemade including breads, rolls, pastrys, sauces etc.
